- The 20th annual Alumni Game will be held on Saturday, October 24th at
5:30. All Lady Jaguars planning to return to watch or play
against the current Lady Jaguars should contact Coach Lyle Hicks,
lhicks@dacc.edu,

- Congratulations for DACC Sophomore Abby Kinder, who has been named
3rd team All-American by the NJCAA. Kinder was also named MWAC
Player of the Year and was first team All-Region and All-Conference.
11/25/2008 - The Jaguars defeated Lincoln Trail College 71-60 to
improve to 5-3 on the season. With the score tied at 28-28 at
half time, Lincoln Trail took an 8 pt lead early in the second half as
the Jaguars turned the ball over 4 straight times to start the
half. The lady Jaguars then fought back to take a lead at 54-52
and never looked back.
Leading the Jagaurs was Ashley Ross with 20 pts, Abby Kinder had 19 pts
and 5 assists, Sarai Rose had 13 pts while Chelsey Miller lead the team
with 8 rebounds along with 7 pts and Colombe Martin had 7 rebounds as
well as 3 block shots.
The Jaguars play Friday at College of Lake Cty in Grayslake at 7.00
then play Joliet on Saturday at 1:00 in Joliet.
11/6/2008
- The Lady Jaguars defeated NJCAA
Division I Vincennes University 89-79. This is the first time in 13
games vs. Vincennes that the Lady Jaguars have defeated the Lady
Blazers. The Jaguars were lead by Preseason All American Abby Kinder
with 25 pts, Ashley Ross with 19 pts, Kassie Yates with 14 pts and
Colombe Martin with 10. The Jaguars jumped to a 7-0 lead and never
trailed leading 41-35 at half. The Lady Jaguars continued to play fast
in the second half building a 20
pt
lead mid way through.
Next up for the Jaguars will be Ancilla on Saturday at 11:00 in
Mattoon and then Lake Land on Sunday at 1:00. The first home game is
next Thursday at 5:30 against Wabash Valley.

Saturday, October 25th at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Any Alumni

- Coach Lyle Hicks announced that 6
players have been signed
to play for the Lady Jaguars next season.
The signees are Ashley Ross, a 5’6 pt guard from Bloomington No,
IN.,
Shelby Ross, a 5’9 guard from Columbus East, IN., Kassie Yates, a 5’5
guard
from Western Boone, IN., Keri Roach, a 5’9 forward from Bismarck
Henning, IL.,
Jessica Richards, a 6’0 forward from Warren Central, IN., and Aelleon
Woodard,
a 6’1 center from Kokomo, IN.
Joining
this group will be Brittani Brandon, a 5’ 10 forward,
Schlarman,
IL, who signed to play volleyball as
well
at DACC.
“I
am very excited to bring in such a well-balanced and talented group of
young
ladies who like to play the up-tempo style we use,” said Hicks. “These young ladies are perhaps the best
recruits I have had in my 8 years. They have the potential and the
necessary
work ethic to excel and take us to new heights.”
This
group will join returning All Region guard Abby Kinder, Chelsey Miller,
and
Colombe Martin. The Jaguars are looking
to sign 3 additional players
1/14/2008
- The Lady Jaguars defeated Shawnee Community College 102-55
to improve to 6-6 overall and 2-1 in Conference play. Danville
was lead by Brooke Daugherty with 25 points, Megan Couch with 21 and
Chelsey Miller with 15. The Lady Jaguars are at home Wednesday
vs. Vincennes University at 5:30 p.m. and return to Conference play at
home on Saturday, January 19th at 2:00 p.m. vs. Lewis & Clark.
12-15-2007
- Today's game vs. John Wood has been canceled due to the
weather. This game has been rescheduled for January 21st at 2:00
p.m.
11/26/2007
- The Lady Jaguars traveled to Joliet Junior College
over the weekend and won the JJC Thanksgiving Tournament. On
Friday, Danville defeated the College of Lake County 98-54.
Sophomore Megan Couch led DACC with 22 points. On Saturday, the
Lady Jaguars defeated host Joliet 70-57. Joliet came into the
contest ranked #1 in NJCAA Division 3. Freshman Chelsey Miller
(Danville High School) led DACC with 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Chelsey was named the Tournaments most valuable player.

- The Lady Jaguars did not play this weekend due to the Lake
Land Tournament being canceled. They will be in action on
Tuesday, November 20th at Kankakee at 5:30 p.m.
