Career and Employment Services Mission Statement
Danville Area Community College Career and Employment Services strives to coordinate and facilitate all employment and career planning related activities in partnership with staff, students, and current and future employers.

Location and Hours
The Career & Employment Services Office is located on the campus of DACC on the first floor of Lincoln Hall (LH-104). We are directly opposite of the "Student Union" dining area.  Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless special appointment or arrangements are made. Please note that hours of operation sometimes change due to special events or meetings that may require the staff to be out of the office.  Appointments are always preferred.  If this is not possible, simply call ahead to make sure someone can help you.  Our main office phone number (217) 443-8597.

EMPLOYER HELP SHEET

We appreciate your interest in employing Danville Area Community College students and alumni.  Our employment services involve a cooperative effort with College Central Network, Inc.  You can register on our Web site to post jobs and search our resume database for FREE.  Employers must have an e-mail address to register.  If you do not have an e-mail address, contact our office.

 WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Any employer who wants to post full-time, part-time, internship, co-op, or campus employment.  All employer registrations will pass through the Career and Employment Services Center for approval.

Step 1. You must register and receive a password from the Career and Employment Services Center to post jobs and conduct resume searches.  To register: 
* Go to our school’s Web site listed on top of the page.
* Click on the icon labeled “Employers.” 
* Click on “Register Now.”
* Enter registration info with an email address so that we may contact you.
* Once approved, Career and Employment Services will send your access password via email.

Step 2. To post jobs and search resumes:
* Go to our school’s site as above and choose the “Employers” icon.
* Log in to your Online Services.
* Enter your Access ID and Password.

You may now:
[Edit or Review Your Registration Information]
Keep your information up to date for the career center and students/alumni.

[Post New Job, Edit, Repost, Expire Job Postings]
Manage the postings currently in your account.
Give plenty of detail to make your postings attractive to students/alumni! 
 
[Search Student and Alumni Resumes]
 Find outstanding candidates for your employment needs.  As with any database search, the more criteria you chose, the more limited your results will be.  Modifying your criteria may be useful for yielding many qualified candidates.

Eligibility

All Danville Area Community College students (prospective and current and alumni) are eligible to utilize the Career and Employment Services office. Other members of the community are welcome to use our library, computer resources, and to attend public presentations sponsored by Career and Employment Services.
